Krav Maga Self Defence Solutions is very happy to announce that we will be hosting a workshop with Eyal Yanilov, the highest ranked Krav Maga instructor in the world, and head of Krav Maga Global.

Krav Maga Alliance Australia are currently in the process of organising two instructor courses for 2012. To enter our Civilian Instructor program, one must:
- Have a background in martial arts minimum 5 years+ with good punching and kicking abilities.
- Be in very good physical condition/fitness.
- Have a recommendation and certifications from one of the following people - a IKMF teacher / MA instructor / police officer/ Etc.
- Do an Instructor preparation course to qualify.
- Candidates must be approved by the local IKMF director.
You must also have:
- No Criminal record
- An interview
- The ability to pay the course

USA KRAV MAGA EXPERT ADVANCED GUN AND KNIFE SEMINAR
James Hirosama is a 2nd Dan (2nd degree black belt in Krav Maga.
He earned his Krav Maga Instructors Black Belt in 2003 as only the
second to do so in the United States outside of LA the home of Krav Maga
in the USA. James is a fully certified Force Training Division Lead
Instructor who has taught courses in Fort Hood for the United States
Army and is currently teaching Law Enforcement Courses throughout the
United States and worked as a contract Trainer for the Boulder County
Sheriff’s Department. James is also on the Krav Maga Worldwide Advisory
Board and one of only a handful of Instructors that hold "Train the
Trainer" status and who is qualified to train instructors in the upper
levels of Krav Maga.
James’ background in Martial Arts began at age 9 in Judo, then
progressed through the years with Karate, taekwondo, hapkido, and of
course now Krav Maga. Besides Martial Arts, he is skilled in tactical
and defensive shooting with most types of firearms having trained with
the Sheriff’s Department in their academy and with Scott Reitz in
California. James will be doing special one off seminar in New Farm
State School (cnr James and Heal Street), Brisbane on the 18th October
from 6.45pm until 9.00pm.

Recently Avi Yemini the owner of IDF Training in Melbourne was
featured in the one of our leading woman's magazine Cosmopolitan Magazine in the "Hot
New Exercise" section. This is great for Krav Maga as
this shows that Krav Maga is getting more recognition and exposure is
the general media. The article in the Cosmo magazine was highlighting

HAIM SASSON:
Haim Sasson is an Expert Level 4, and member of the IKMF Global
Instructor Team (GIT). He is a true gentleman and martial artist, who

Haim was certified with his Black Belt in Krav Maga (now known as
Expert 1) by Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga. He has been
training in Krav Maga for almost 30 years!
Haim is visiting Australia for the first time, to instruct the final
half of the IKMF Civilian Instructors Course (CIC) taking place in

awareness and self defence in a loud, dark, and confusing environment.
Gone are the days where a misunderstanding or spilled drink are

CONTROL AND RESTRAINT WORKSHOP
Dealing with an aggressive person is one of the most difficult situations a person can encounter. If the situation is such that violence is inevitable, even though you are doing your best to de-escalate a situation through verbal techniques, why wait for the person to assault you if you feel threatened? Control and restraint enables you to deal with aggressive persons before the violence begins.
Ashley Gard from KMSDS will be conducting a control and restraint workshop teaching you how to bridge the gap between aggression and violence using Australian standard restraint techniques. Ashley has 14 years experience in the security industry and Military Police. He is also the Director of BGI Security Solutions.
During this workshop you will cover:
- come along techniques;
- restraint techniques;
- decentralisation techniques;
- pre-emptive striking;
- transition from a violent attack to a restraint;
- working in small groups;
- duty of care.
Due to the nature of this workshop participants must have a sound understanding of inside and outside defences in Krav Maga and therefore must be graded P1 and above. Although the control and restraint techniques are not Krav Maga, the scenarios will require that participants can defend themselves against basic attacks in order to get the most out of this workshop.

New direction and new future for Krav Maga Australia! July 2010 Sydney Australia: The International Krav Maga Federation Headquarters has appointed a new Director for Australia and New Zealand, Mr Kurt Colpan, a dedicated and experienced Krav Maga student and instructor of Krav Maga and a disciple of Eyal Yanilov, Avi Moyal, Ze'ev Cohen, Gabi Noah, Amnon Darsa and other experts of Krav Maga.
This move initiated by Chairman of the International Krav Maga Federation Avi Moyal was made after the recent announcement of Eyal Yanilov's departure. Eyal is creating his own new organization called Krav Maga Global (KMG) moving away from the federation that he helped form.

- To give you an understanding of Krav Maga and its principles.
- To ensure you posses the skills and characteristics that are required to be a Krav Maga instructor.
- To give you a good understanding of Krav Maga basics.

He is the former president of Krav Maga Worldwide, and earned instructor degrees from the Krav Maga Association of America, Krav Maga Worldwide, and Wingate University in Israel. He has trained thousands of civilians and hundreds of law enforcement and military personnel, including the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations Antiterrorist Specialty Team. John is the co-author of COMPLETE KRAV MAGA and KRAV MAGA FOR BEGINNERS. He was a leading participant in the creation and refinement of the Instructor Training Program used by Krav Maga Worldwide, a program he headed for 7 years. John received rave reviews for his recent teaching performance in the Ultimate Krav Maga DVDs and is regarded by many as the best teacher of Krav Maga currently working in the world today.
