Who is this Roy Elghanayan, anyway?

If you’re new to Krav Maga, let me give you an “e-troduction”! Roy Elghanayan is the only person to have been twice named Krav Maga National Champion of Israel (the birthplace of this fighting style). While serving in the Israeli Special Forces, Roy was personally recognized for his hand-to-hand combat skills, and chosen to create a training program which remains in place today.

Roy has trained the Israeli military special forces, special commando units, and IDF (Israeli Defence Force) bodyguards, as well as military units in other countries and thousands of students around the world—including Krav Maga L.A., the Los Angeles club he established and runs.

If you already know very well who Roy is…

You may not know that he:

• has over 18 years of fighting and experience

• holds the rank of Black Belt, 3rd Dan

• is the Chief Instructor of authentic Israeli Krav Maga in both Israel and the U.S.

• has personally trained law enforcement and counter-terrorism forces in the U.S., Israel, and other countries

• trains actors and actresses in fight choreography for television and film

Level 1 Brush-Up Training

When: Thursday, April 19^th – 7.00–9.00 p.m. (in place of regular Krav classes)

What: This is a pre-grading training session which will cover all of Level 1

For: Anyone who wants to practice for the subsequent Level 1 grading with Roy, or who simply wants a Level 1 refresher

Cost: $50 for the session alone; $120 for both the session and the private grading with Roy on April 23rd (take both and you save $30)

Private Level 1 Grading

When: Monday, April 23^rd – 7.00–9.00 p.m. (in place of Intermediate Krav)

What: This is a 2-hour private (small-group) session with Roy in which he’ll test you for Level 1 certification

For: Anyone wanting to test for Level 1, either for the first time or specifically with Roy

Includes: Level 1 certificate and yellow t-shirt if you pass; free admission to the re-test on April 30^th if you don’t

Cost: $100 if you’re testing for Level 1 for the first time; $50 if you’ve already been tested at IDF but want to be certified by Roy

Discount: If you’re testing for Level 1 for the first time, and you also sign up for the Level 1 Brush-Up session on April 19^th, you can take them both for just $120 (a savings of $30); if you’re recertifying with Roy, and you also sign up for the Level 1 Brush-Up session on April 19^th, you can take them both for just $70 (also a savings of $30)

Self-Defence for Car Parks Workshop

When: Sunday, April 22^nd – 3.30–5.30 p.m. (in place of regular Krav classes)

Where: A car park near the club (you’ll receive details upon sign-up)

What: This workshop will teach the all-important skills to defend yourself from attacks both in and out of your car

For: ALL LEVELS WELCOME! For anyone and everyone! The car park is one of the likeliest places to be assaulted, and everyone should learn what to do if this should ever happen

Cost: $149 for this workshop alone; $398 for both this and the Layla Lavan (White Night) workshop on April 28^th (take both for a savings of $100!)

Self-Defence for Car Parks $149.00 AUD Both workshops (special) $398.00 AUD

Layla Lavan (White Night) Workshop

When: Saturday, April 28^th– 9.00 p.m.–7.00 a.m. (yes, you read that right!)

What: This is a famous 10-hour nighttime training course designed specifically for the Israeli military—not for the faint of heart!

For: A must for all true Krav Maga practitioners—this is how you tell the difference between any regular old school and authentic Israeli Krav Maga!

Cost: $249 for this workshop alone; $398 for both this and the Self-Defence for Car Parks workshop on April 22^nd (take both for a savings of $100!)

Layla Lavan (White Night) $249.00 AUD Both workshops (special) $398.00 AUD

Private Level 1 Grading—Second Chance

When: Monday, April 30^th – 7.00–9.00 p.m. (in place of Intermediate Krav)

What: This is another 2-hour private (small-group) session with Roy in which he’ll test you for level 1 certification

For: Anyone wanting to test for Level 1 (either for the first time or specifically to be certified by Roy), and anyone who did not pass the first Level 1 Grading on April 23^rd

Includes: Level 1 certificate and yellow t-shirt if you pass

Cost: $100 if you’re testing for Level 1 for the first time; $50 if you’ve already been tested at IDF but want to be certified by Roy; FREE if you already paid for the Level 1 Grading on April 23^rd, did not pass, and are retaking the test

1st timer $100.00 AUD 2nd time, now with Roy $50.00 AUD 1st timer with Level 1 training $120.00 AUD 2nd timer with Level 1 grading $70.00 AUD
