Roy will be back in Australia for some intense instructor training next month! That’s right—he’s due to arrive Down Under on the 18th of April, and will be here through the 2nd of May. Seems like every email and announcement of mine lately has been “Roy, Roy, Roy.” But now I’m not the only one talking! Like the ones below. Who is this Roy Elghanayan, anyway?
If you’re new to Krav Maga, let me give you an “e-troduction”! Roy Elghanayan is the only person to have been twice named Krav Maga National Champion of Israel (the birthplace of this fighting style). While serving in the Israeli Special Forces, Roy was personally recognized for his hand-to-hand combat skills, and chosen to create a training program which remains in place today.
Roy has trained the Israeli military special forces, special commando units, and IDF (Israeli Defence Force) bodyguards, as well as military units in other countries and thousands of students around the world—including Krav Maga L.A., the Los Angeles club he established and runs. For anyone and everyone! The car park is one of the likeliest places to be assaulted, and everyone should learn what to do if this should ever happen Cost: $149 for this workshop alone; $398 for both this and the Layla Lavan (White Night) workshop on April 28th (take both for a savings of $100!) Layla Lavan (White Night) WorkshopWhen: Saturday, April 28th– 9.00 p.m.–7.00 a.m. (yes, you read that right!) What: This is a famous 10-hour nighttime training course designed specifically for the Israeli military—not for the faint of heart! For: A must for all true Krav Maga practitioners—this is how you tell the difference between any regular old school and authentic Israeli Krav Maga! Cost: $249 for this workshop alone; $398 for both this and the Self-Defence for Car Parks workshop on April 22nd (take both for a savings of $100!) USA KRAV MAGA EXPERT ADVANCED GUN AND KNIFE SEMINAR James Hirosama is a 2nd Dan (2nd degree black belt in Krav Maga. He earned his Krav Maga Instructors Black Belt in 2003 as only the second to do so in the United States outside of LA the home of Krav Maga in the USA. James is a fully certified Force Training Division Lead Instructor who has taught courses in Fort Hood for the United States Army and is currently teaching Law Enforcement Courses throughout the United States and worked as a contract Trainer for the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department. James is also on the Krav Maga Worldwide Advisory Board and one of only a handful of Instructors that hold "Train the Trainer" status and who is qualified to train instructors in the upper levels of Krav Maga. James’ background in Martial Arts began at age 9 in Judo, then progressed through the years with Karate, taekwondo, hapkido, and of course now Krav Maga. Besides Martial Arts, he is skilled in tactical and defensive shooting with most types of firearms having trained with the Sheriff’s Department in their academy and with Scott Reitz in California.
